“A nosa luzada iluminaranos a todas” comes form a verse by Uma Rani, one of the authors in this volume. The book contains texts by 16 women who participated in the creative writing workshops developed in Galicia and Támil Nadu by Implicadas no Desenvolvemento (www.implicadas.com), as well as illustrations by three collaborators. These texts bring the written word, sometimes for the first time, to those who urgently need it in order to end the darkness woven by exploitation. Their words are a light beam which illuminates us, to explore the world and explore ourselves.
